1) All I Want For Christmas - 2011 - Originally written to picture for a Christmas commercial in UK, we were shocked to learn they didn't want to use this strange lil number. ;-)

2) Christmas On The Wrong Side Of The Tracks - 2010 - Written at my mom's on Christmas morning 2010. We had just learned that she was getting kicked out of her apartment and Christmas had a gloom over it. Thankfully this song brought our sense of humor back. Talya made an incredible Beef Wellington that year. The recording features Magali Charron on vocals and Chris Aiello on Alto Saxophone.

3) Christmas In Prison - John Prine cover - 2013 - Originally recorded at the request of the French blog "Across The Days" and released on their 2013 Christmas album. Here is a tweaked version for 2020. This track features Magali Charron on vocals. I remember playing this for Magali's grandmother Paulette at her home in Dieppe that year, Magali was pregnant with Alaska. As the music played I saw Paulette's eyes fill with tears.

4) Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (Honest Harmony) - 2020 - A first take realization that this Christmas staple has never been in the correct key... until now! "He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake..." Honestly Santa, get the heck out of my bedroom.

5) Dominick The Donkey - Lou Monte cover - Who needs reindeer when you've got this lovely Italian donkey from Brooklyn to take care of all your Christmas needs!?!? We've played this song at many of our great Holiday Show appearances with Danny Tamberelli's band Jounce, now here's a studio version featuring Alaska Cacchione and Magali Charron on vocals!

6) Snow Is Falling Manhattan - 12/19/2019 Park Church Co-Op - Live from Brooklyn's glorious Park Church Co-Op, here is the live Caged Animals performing a tribute to the great Purple Mountains song Snow Is Falling In Manhattan. This field recording was made from the first pew of the beautiful Greenpoint Church during a show we shared with Turner Cody and Leslie Graves. Patrick Curry plays drums, Jeff Tobias plays Alto Saxophone, Talya Cacchione plays bass, and Magali Charron plays keys and sings. This was one of the last shows we played in NYC and listening back I can feel the warmth of friendship and great music that was in the church that night.
